Engine No. 6 was built with Stephenson valve gear. ALCO records show a tractive effort of 17,116 lbs. and an engine weight of 95,000 lbs. * Prior to June, 1918, operating pressure was reduced to 175 lbs. A Loco Light generator, Model "C" 450 watt, was installed on May 11, 1920. A superheater was installed in May of 1920. An automatic drifting valve was installed in May of 1920. A Pyle National generator, Type E 1500 watt, was installed in January of 1924. A steel cab was installed in July of 1924. A piston valve steam chest was installed in June of 1926. |
