Engine No. 28 cost $11,874. Engine No. 28 was built with Stephenson valve gear. Flange lubricators were installed in May of 1915. A Loco Light generator, Model "C" 450 watt, was installed on January 15, 1919. A new cab was installed in May of 1919. A Pyle National generator, Type E, 1500 watt, was installed in September of 1922. A superheater, Walschaerts valve gear and a new valve chest were installed in 1924. Straight air was installed in 1936. A steel cab was installed, date unknown. * Engine weight increased to 143,000 lbs. with steel cab and Walschaerts valve gear. Engine No. 28 was sold to the M. N. Landy Company in September of 1955. |
